Questions and Answers
Can I receive an estimate so I know what
costs to expect?
Naturally we will be very happy to give you an estimate. But we will need
the texts you want to have translated and the desired language combination(s).
How can I get the texts I want translated
to Webword?
If the texts you want translated are available as computer files, you can
simply send these files as an attachment to your e-mail. If the files are
very large, you can also put them on our server by FTP after making arrangements
with us.
Our texts need to be translated quickly,
but we only have them on paper. What do we do?
If possible, send us the texts by fax: +49-2384-960538, or (for brochures
and advertising material) by post. You will be sent the translated documents
either as hard copy or an MS-Word file.
How quickly can you do a translation?
Texts up to three DIN A4 pages in length can be translated within 24 hours.
We need three workdays for translations up to 10 DIN A4 pages in length. Call
us to ask about the time needed for the translation of longer texts.
What does Webword need for the order?
Write us an unambiguous order - either by e-mail or fax - and send us the
texts you want translated. We will send you a confirmation shortly after we
receive your order.
What can the customer do for the quality
of the translation?
For the translation of operating instructions, manuals, advertising material
and similar texts, we usually work closely with a contact partner from the
customer who can help us quickly and without red tape if there are questions
or points which are not clear. You may also have publications, glossaries
or previous versions of the documents being translated available in the desired
target language. We should, of course, use these to compare terminology and
to make sure that your company's foreign language texts are of consistent
character.
How do I pay for the translation?
Write us your postal address as well as telephone and fax numbers in the body
of your e-mail, and we will send you the invoice by mail following delivery
of the translation. You then pay the invoice at your leisure within the legal
term of payment of 30 days.
What about the confidentiality of our secret
documents?
Webword and all of our translators obligate themselves to maintain secrecy
about the information and documents we receive from the client relevant to
the order. Your information is held in strict confidentiality to which the
translation profession is voluntarily committed.
